Customizing Visitor Types and Subtypes for Your Facility

Learn how to fully customize kiosk and system settings based on visitor types and subtypes, tailored to your facility's needs.

In the Advanced Entry system, settings can be customized to fit any visitor type your facility needs. By default, we offer four examples of visitor types: Visitor, Vendor, Staff, and Resident. However, these visitor types are fully customizable, allowing you to create any categories that fit your specific use case.

You can also create subtypes under each visitor type to further refine the system's settings. Subtypes allow you to specify different rules, notifications, and features for more granular customization. For example, if you choose "Staff" as a visitor type, you can create subtypes like "Nurses," "Technicians," or "Maintenance," each with unique kiosk messages or system configurations.

For more detailed instructions on setting up subtypes, please refer to our guide on How to Set Up Subtypes.

The benefit of using subtypes is that all system settings can be applied based on these subtypes. This means you can adjust kiosk settings, messaging, or any other feature individually for each group, ensuring that every visitor receives the most relevant experience based on their specific role.
